Ask us about our Live-stream Virtual Presentations!

Indigenous Services Australia (ISA) is a 100% Aboriginal owned and directed company providing consulting and training services to major corporate and community entities across Australia.

Our vision is to “create the awareness to enable Aboriginal people to walk beside others”.

ISA prides itself on the delivery of high quality, holistic participation programs that can be tailored to the specific needs of each individual client recognising that one program does not fit all and that our clients are unique in their requirements.

Ancient. New. Innovative.

The first people of this land, the Indigenous people of Australia have an ancient culture.  For people listening to our story for the first time, the ways and culture of the Indigenous people will be new.  And when the ways of the Indigenous people are understood and adopted, they can be seen to be innovative.

The Indigenous people are culturally driven not by money or power, but by wisdom – doing things the right way, to keep things moving the right way, at the right time.

Testimonials

It has been an incredible journey to have worked with Tony and his team at ISA over the last six months. I have felt privileged to have participated in his workshops and to have had the opportunity to hear Tony share his story on several occasions. It has been heart-warming to see how Tony’s storytelling has inspired our employees to learn more about and engage with the Aboriginal community.

Kristen Potter

Group Manager Organisational Development, THE PERTH MINT

We secured Tony Shaw as a keynote speaker for a unique online event to mark NAIDOC Week 2021.  Tony was warm, engaging and spoke with great passion about his personal story and experiences. His ability to deliver sometimes confronting messages and themes with kindness and self-awareness enabled our audience to be open to learning and listening in a different way.

One of our senior leaders commented to me that “it was one of the best personal development activities I have been involved in for a long time”.
MIGAS looks forward to working with Tony and Carola from Indigenous Services Australia again very soon.

David Hoey

Chief Executive Officer, MIGAS APPRENTICES & TRAINEES

We had such a personal and meaningful experience with Tony. It was definitely an eye opener for a lot of people and the value and worth behind his presentations was unmatched.

Jai Twentyman

COMPASS GROUP/AUSTRALIA

Tony, Delly and Carola of ISA were wonderful to work with, from booking to finish. Carola was incredibly responsive and informative, and Tony & Delly were engaging. Even our school of 500 students sat quietly and were in awe while they spoke. We look forward to welcoming the ISA team back again 🙂

Tahnee West

Drama & English Teacher, COURT GRAMMAR SCHOOL

I had the honour of attending a session that Tony ran for all of our offices around Australia, via “virtual presentation”. Through his personal narrative, he was able to share with us his knowledge on Indigenous culture, values, language and environment and shine a spotlight on the need to listen to and walk alongside our First Nations people to help overcome the impact of past policies. Tony is an incredibly engaging and inspirational storyteller and his humour, kindness and generosity shines through in his sessions. A session with Tony and his team is a must for any organisation wanting to embark on the journey of a genuine and deeper understanding of Indigenous culture.

Rebecca Baggiano

Senior Associate & Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Country Lead, FRAGOMEN

Tony’s knowledge of Aboriginal History is outstanding and when intertwined with his own personal story, drives home the impact of past policies on generations that are still coming to terms with the impact of those policies on their lives and the lives of their families. As a Wongutha man, he also has very good knowledge of cultural issues and delivers this in a way that is witty, entertaining, and deeply moving.

I would not hesitate to recommend Tony to anyone or any organisation wanting to develop their understanding of Indigenous culture, in order to work more effectively with Aboriginal people and towards reconciliation.

Former Social Justice Commissioner, AUSTRALIAN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION

Our Speakers

At Indigenous Services Australia (ISA), we have access to some of the best speakers in Australia.  Tony Shaw, the owner and Managing Director of ISA, creates workshops that benefit even the most culturally aware among us.  With his renowned skill and sensitivity as a mentor, he speaks alongside guest speakers of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous backgrounds to create an understanding of the Indigenous culture and mindset that is difficult to find anywhere else in Australia.

Tony Shaw provides a wealth of knowledge and cultural understanding of Aboriginal people, which is clear in his negotiating skills and his public speaking. As a speaker, Tony is dynamic, engaging and thought provoking and his ability to reach a wide range of people has rightly earned him the reputation of being one of Australia’s leading Aboriginal speakers. Over the past 15 years Tony has presented to more than 120,000 people locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally.

Tony ensures that ISA provides the highest level of service by taking personal responsibility for delivering all of ISA’s programs, negotiations, training, and other services.
